The Granby Board of Trustees sets the priorities and strategic direction for the town.

I’ve listened, and I hear loud and clear: this Board and the Town Manager have failed us.

I will do better because you deserve more.

  • More economic opportunities driven by employees who trust appropriate housing and child care is available.

  • More focus on public safety; you deserve to know that law enforcement is committed to community policing not a schedule that offers more time off.

  • More fiscal responsibility with an appropriate plan for leveraging our strong financial position.

I am committed to supporting this community that I love.

I have an MBA from the University of Denver and am completing my Executive Certificate in Affordable Housing.

I worked for a Fortune 50 business in Customer Business Development.

I worked as a Controller and Risk Manager for a local non-profit.

I dedicated my career to serving Granby residents, businesses, and visitors.

Granby is our home and has been for almost two decades. This town is where we raised our 3 boys, and where my heart lives.

What needs to be done on Day 1

SHARE through social media and ongoing connections with businesses, the work of the town.

  • Provide the current Housing Needs Assessment survey so we know the extend of the housing crisis.

  • Input is critical, and we should return to posting on social media the Granby Board of Trustees and the Planning Commission agendas in a transparent manner; make it easy for residents and businesses to be involved.

  • Acknowledge resident and business feedback and clearly communicate what the Board’s priorities are. Residents deserve to understand what the Town is focused on, what timelines are being developed, and how their money is spent.

EDUCATE our businesses and residents on the housing continuum in Granby.

  • Did you know an employee making $51,000 per year will now have options for renting or purchasing a home?

  • Did you know there are 4 ways that an individual can get assistance with a down payment that DO NOT involve the Town paying the funds?

  • Did you know there are homeowner education classes that can be hosted on-line or in person that share more about the homebuying process? Let’s give people tools and confidence to make a purchase decision.

LISTEN and LEARN.

  • We have two different organizations supporting Granby businesses. A 30 second update from these groups twice a month is not enough to give these businesses a voice. Schedule regular time to hear what our businesses have to say. This will better inform the agendas going in front of the Board and the quality of discussions that occur.

  • Create a homeowners round table so we can connect realtors who have no trust in the Nuche Village development, employers who know affordable housing is a barrier to attracting and retaining a quality workforce, employees at different income levels, and advocacy groups such as Grand County Veterans Affairs.

  • Continue discussions with Executives Partnering to Invest in Children (EPIC) to learn more about home- and center- based child care. Identify needed zoning changes, and engage with the community about potential partnerships that expand quality childcare in Granby. We should NEVER be too busy to find ways to support children and families!

This campaign is NOT about standing aside.

A friend said it was brave of me to step up and become a target for those who’s intention are to undermine and bully me.

What was brave was to say nothing for the last 9 months while others question my actions and my intentions. Staying quiet has allowed someone else to write MY story and to treat me as a scapegoat for THEIR ineffectiveness.

To be clear. I did not lie; I fought for the workers and families of Granby who deserve a quality home. I stand by that work, and I am excited to do more.

Disagreements are a part of, and perhaps the best aspect, of good governance. Discrimination, defamation, and deflection are not.

Together, we can ask difficult questions, challenge decisions, and move in a direction that benefits you, your businesses, and your families.
